Homework Help

Club members are encouraged to participate in Power Hour, an engaging homework help and tutoring program that encourages club members at every age to become self-directed learners. Staff support children in completing their homework in a fun environment that encourages independent learning and positive feelings about school accomplishments.

Power Hour lets kids and teens explore interests at their own pace and equip them with skills they’ll need to advance from kindergarten to 12th grade, graduate from high school on time, ready to succeed in college or a career.

We also offer programs centered around literacy, including our Book Club in partnership with the Ukiah’s Library and Today's Readers, Tomorrow's Leaders which encourages our members to expand their reading potential.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)

In a partnership with the Finley Foundation, club members are introduced to science, technology, engineering and math in a variety of projects on a weekly basis. Through this innovative program, club members build problem solving skills, discover how things work, explore engineering as a career option, and learn math and science while having fun.

Tutoring

We provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions after Power Hour for club members who may be struggling in certain subjects or with particular concepts they are learning in school. Lead by our program Staff and Volunteers, club members can receive the extra help they need in a variety of subjects to achieve academic success in their schoolwork.
