The Boys & Girls Club of Ukiah is always welcoming our community to share their hobbies, interests and skills with our members.  If you have an interest in sharing yours, please contact Liz Elmore, our Chief Executive Officer.   Our broad areas of interest are leadership, healthy lifestyles (including gardening, good food choices and even a successful on-site egg incubation experiment), confidence building, science and technology.  Contact us for a  volunteer application.

A few volunteer opportunities:

  • gardening
  • computer technology assistance
  • carpentry
  • tutoring
  • computers
  • reading
  • math
  • playing a variety of outdoor and indoor sports
  • board Games
  • crocheting / knitting
  • assisting with special events (Golf Tournament, Crab Feast, Chili Cook Off)
Our Crab Feast is held every first Saturday in March at Carl Purdy Hall at the Ukiah Fairgrounds.  Each year we are in need of volunteers from the community to help set up the event, spot during the live auction, supervise the kids during table service, check in/seat our guests and clean up.  If you would like to get involved, let us know.

High school students are welcome to fulfill their community service hours for graduation.  We also partner with Mendocino Community College whose students receive credit for human resource internships while having fun at the Club.
